21 Good Songs to Play on the Finish of a Robust Exercise

One of my favorite running tips is to have a “secret weapon” song. This is the song that gets you hyped no matter what. It’s a song you’ll never get tired of hearing. A song that will give your step that extra bounce no matter how heavy your legs are. Record this song for a moment in the race where you want to give in and play it at full volume.

Most of the playlists I’ve created have an ebb and flow, an intentional order. They start with some relaxing songs to help you practice, then really ramp up towards the middle, then back down at the end. But this week’s playlist, which isn’t just for runners, by the way, is totally different.

This week is all about hitting that last rep, hitting that last half mile, or hitting your last ascent. Everyone needs a stash of songs that will help them tap into that extra strength when we need it most – and I hope these do just that for you.
