Do not Ignore These Indicators and Signs of Bowel Most cancers

4. Blood in the stool

Of course, blood in your stool can occur with hemorrhoids, where pain, tenderness, and the presence of a lump hanging down from your rectum can be present and visible with a mirror. However, according to the Cleveland Clinic, blood in the stool is the most telling sign of colorectal cancer. If you notice blood in your stool, tell your doctor immediately.

Remember that although other health conditions can lead to bloody stools (i.e. anal tears, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, digestive tract bleeding, and hemorrhoids), make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible. This will help you directly diagnose your problem and begin the appropriate treatment needed to address your condition.

5. Changes in bowel habits

Patients are often unwilling to talk to a loved one or their doctor about changes in their bowel habits. However, various bowel-related events can indicate a bowel health problem and even indicate the presence of cancer.

The American Cancer Society points out several bowel symptoms that could indicate bowel cancer. You know what is normal for your body.
