Additional Info: Khanisia was found trapped by a snare set by poachers. Wrapped around his neck, his every movement amplified the gaping wounds. His prognosis was vital, but the care provided by the sanctuary’s healers enabled him to recover quickly.
Khanysia was immediately attracted by the herd of elephants already present in the sanctuary but it was too early to try to integrate it, especially because of his injuries. Suddenly, Khanysia has found a new girlfriend, Lammie the sheep.
His blue eyes are beautiful but they are so sensitive to the sun that Khanysia is often forced to close them when he is outside which often makes him very awkward. This baby elephant undeniably exudes the joy of living. As the head of the sanctuary says: « Despite her past misfortune, Khanysia made the choice to be happy ».
