Vinegar is the ingredient to correctly clear garments

Less expensive than some cleaning products, white vinegar is ideal for cleaning! Instead of using this vinegar in a recipe, try saving some of it.

Here are five ways white vinegar can help.

Removes stains

Got a stain that you can’t remove even if you try to wash it? HealthLine suggests spraying the dirty part with vinegar and letting it sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Then you can wash the clothes as usual. For lighter stains, you can mix one cup of white vinegar and two cups of hot water and soak the clothes.

Use as fabric softener

According to Tiffy Taffy, vinegar is a great product, so it’s the perfect solution for making your clothes softer. By adding half a cup to your washing machine’s fabric softener dispenser, you can easily make your clothes, towels and sheets look new again.

Get rid of odors

It is normal for clothes to smell a little bad. A quick tip can help you get rid of that odor.

If your towels smell musty, TiffyTaffy recommends washing them on the normal cycle with two cups of vinegar. To deodorize clothes, HealthLine suggests adding half a cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle. If the smell is too strong, try soaking the clothes in this mixture for about 20 minutes before washing them.

Protect colors

To brighten up a colored garment, soak it in a water bath with the addition of white vinegar.

Launder white clothes

If your white clothes, towels, and linens seem to have lost their original color, try adding a cup and a half of vinegar to the wash cycle. If any of your clothes are stained, Tiffy Taffy recommends soaking it in two quarts of hot water mixed with two cups of vinegar overnight before washing it.
